WHAT IT ADDS

Go beyond the focused
imaging in HealthCheck 2.0.

Your base HealthCheck includes rapid brain MRI and liver MRI alongside labs and clinical and functional assessments. The whole-body MRI add-on provides a broader structural survey. It answers a different question from a blood test, skin examination or strength assessment.[1]

01

Look across body regions

A broad MRI survey can reveal unsuspected structural abnormalities in the regions included in the protocol.

02

Assess soft tissues

MRI provides detailed soft-tissue information, including certain masses, cysts and other organ findings that may need follow-up.

03

Build context for next steps

An expert radiologist identifies findings and follow-up considerations. Your clinician connects them with symptoms, history and prior studies.

SIMONMED’S MRI SCREENING APPROACH

Choose the coverage
that fits the question.

SimonMed MRI team with a patient
SimonMed’s published whole-body screening options vary by anatomical coverage and scan duration.

SimonMed’s published screening range includes core chest, abdominal and pelvic imaging, with more extensive options adding head and neck imaging or spine and vascular imaging. Protocols may also include focused liver or sex-specific pelvic assessment.[1]

The $1,299 HealthCheck bundle is the offered add-on rate. Confirm the exact anatomical coverage and sequences for this bundle before booking. Do not assume it includes every component of SimonMed’s most extensive package or a dedicated disease-specific MRI.

The concierge can also explain any overlap with the rapid brain and liver MRI already in HealthCheck 2.0.

THE BENEFIT AND THE BOUNDARY

A useful view
is not an all-clear.

MRI may identify some cancers and other abnormalities before they produce symptoms, but detection varies by organ, lesion size and protocol. Whole-body MRI cannot find every cancer, and an abnormality is not automatically cancer.

The American College of Radiology notes that evidence is insufficient to recommend total-body MRI screening for people without symptoms, risk factors or a relevant family history. It has not been shown to prolong life in that general population and may uncover incidental findings that lead to additional testing.[2]

Keep the screenings
that are proven for you.

Whole-body MRI does not replace recommended breast, cervical or colorectal screening, eligible low-dose lung CT, skin evaluation or other care tailored to your risks.

YOUR EXAM

Advanced Testing.
Results. Plan.

01

Confirm the scope

Review your goals, history, prior imaging and the exact regions included in the bundle. Complete MRI safety screening.

02

Complete the scan

Lie still for imaging of the included regions. It takes additional time beyond the base HealthCheck; the team confirms duration and contrast requirements.

03

Review the report

Receive expert interpretation. Findings may need dedicated imaging, comparison with older studies, specialist review or no further action.

GOOD TO KNOW

Your questions,
answered.

Is this the same as a dedicated prostate or endometriosis MRI?

No. A broad survey may not include the specialized sequences or focused interpretation of a dedicated exam. Ask which test best addresses your concern.

Does it include head, neck, spine and MRA?

Those components vary among SimonMed packages. The exact coverage of the $1,299 bundled offer must be confirmed; the price alone does not specify the most extensive protocol.

Can a negative scan rule out cancer?

No. Some cancers are too small or not well seen with a screening MRI protocol. Continue recommended screening and evaluation of new symptoms.

Who should discuss suitability first?

Everyone should complete MRI safety screening. Let the team know about implants, metal, pregnancy, claustrophobia or a history that may call for a dedicated diagnostic exam instead.
